Meet our Team

With over 40 years of combined experience guiding in forests and oceans, leading retreats, and designing transformative workshops, we bring a unique blend of science, sensory awareness, and emotional connection to our work. • Founder

Suzie is a Nature Connection Guide and Conservation Biologist with over 20 years of experience in the field. Holding advanced degrees in Zoology and Environmental Studies, she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. focused on human nature connection at Antioch University. Suzie’s extensive work spans from marine mammals to coral reefs, and she brings this diverse expertise to lead transformative nature immersions in San Diego, helping individuals find calm, clarity, and balance through a deeper connection with the natural world.

  • Founder

Anjali is a certified guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. She started guiding and teaching college students in the megadiverse cloud and tropical rain forests of Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Peru in 2005. In 2015, Anjali moved to Washington, D.C. to develop programs, trainings, and workshops for foreign governments in forest and ocean biodiversity and conservation, mostly in South and Central America. After spending so much time at the computer rather than being close to nature, Anjali left D.C. to return back to her passion of being in nature and guiding and facilitating others' engagement with the natural world. Anjali has a PhD in Psychology, Animal Behavioral Ecology, with a certificate in Conservation Biology Policy from the University of Washington, and did her post-doctoral work with MIT, building an ecology curriculum for professors at the Singapore University of Technology and Design and catching bats in the Peruvian Amazon. Anjali enjoys helping people to connect with the forest and improve their relationships with nature, themselves, and others. Her connection with the natural world has grown from long periods of forest contemplation and engaging with local communities across the world.
